Big Bang Experiment Creates Excitement and Fear - Large Hadron Collider Project

These days the Big Bang Experiment being conducted by Scientists - CERN - is creating a lot of excitement and at the same time some fear among people. The experiment is to be conducted on the 10th of SEP 2008 and there is some online activity around this about the world coming to an end etc etc.

As much as there is this excitement and fear, I personally don't agree with the discussions around the Big Bang experiment and the world coming to an end. Its more like rumors than anything in my opinion.

As you all the recent tests by nuclear scientists have cleared the way for conducting the Big Bang Experiment. The main purpose and interest of scientific world in this ALICE experiment is to look, analyze and understand at how the universe was formed by particle collisions.

This Big Bang experiment will be conducted in the Deep underground on the border between France and Switzerland, the world's largest particle accelerator complex will explore the world on smaller scales than any other scientific experiment or human invention has explored before.

The Large Hadron Collider (LHC) Project part of the Big Bang Experiment will look at how the universe was formed. They tend to get some information and data by analyzing the particle collisions during the course of this experiment. Some people and bloggers have expressed fears that the project could lead to the Earth's demise and the world will come to an end, but this is being denied by the scientists and they are confident that this will not happen. Still, people who are skeptical on this and who are worried have filed suit to try to stop the Big Bang Experiment and the Large Hadron Collider project.It even has a rap dedicated to it on You Tube. Lot of blogs, forums and You Tube activity is happening around this Large Hadron Collider - Big Bang Theory experiment.

Some people are arguing that this experiment will create a black hole which will swallow the planet.The whole experiment has till date cost £4.4billion and is designed to unlock the secrets of the Big Bang theory.
