The cut off marks in each category in the Written Test for qualifying for interview and individual marks obtained by all the candidates who appeared for the Written Test held on 18/12/2011 for recruitment of Constables in West Bengal Police 2010 are now available.

The results of the Written Test held on 25/03/2012 for the post of Junior Constables in West Bengal Police-2011 are available here.
The candidates can find their result of Written Examination by entering their Written Test Roll No. or Application Sl. No. The process of Interview will start on and from 18/04/2012. The venue for interview will be given in the admit card.
The Admit Cards for interview will be distributed to the successful candidates through their Local Police Stations between 13/04/2012 and 17/04/2012.

The West Bengal Police invites applications for the post of Police Constables from male citizens of India. There area total of 4767 posts and the pay is in the scale Rs. 5400 - 25200 (PB-2) + Rs. 2600 (Grade Pay)
Eligibility for West Bengal Constable's jobs:
1.Indian Citizenship
2.Between 18 and 27 years of age as on 01/01/2010
3.Must have passed Madhyamik Pariksha of the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education or equivalent examination under any Board recognized by any State Government or the Central Government
4.Physical measurements:
For All categories : Height - 167 cms. Chest - 78 cms. with minimum expansion of 5 cms (78cms - 83cms) Weight - Proportionate to height and age as per medical standard.
For Gorkha, Garwalis, Rajbansis and Schedule Tribes :Height - 160 cms, Chest - 76 cms with minimum expansion of 5 cms.(76Cms - 81 Cms)
Weight - Proportionate to height and age as per medical standard.
Selection Procedure:
Those who meet the above criteria will be subjected to a physical efficiency test on clearing which a written test will be conducted.
Those who clear the written exam have to appear for an interview on clearing which a medical Exam of the candidates will be conducted.Only those who clear this will be selected.
How to apply:
Application forms and Information Brochures will be available from 16/08/2010 from the offices of the Superintendents of Police of the districts on payment of Rs.150(One Hundred fifty) only by Demand Draft / Postal Order drawn in favor of the West Bengal Police Recruitment Board for the General and OBC Category Candidates and free of cost for the SC / ST category candidates on production of original Caste / Tribe certificate issued by the competent authority.
All candidates from States other than West Bengal will be treated as general candidates and they will purchase such forms and brochures from the office of the Superintendent of Police, district South 24 Parganas at Alipore, Kolkata.
Duly filled in application forms along with 2(two) recent stamp size photographs, one pasted on the application form at the specified box and the other attached with the application form with form serial number written on the back side and attested Xerox copies of certificates / testimonials should reach
