IIT-JEE Cut-Off eligibility percentage for each state board

As you all know from next year the way IIT-JEE entrance exam is being conducted is changed and so is the eligibility criteria for the students willing to appear for this all India exam. Now students are required to secure a certain percentage of marks in their 12th class OR 10 + 2 exam OR Intermediate exams to be eligible for appearing for IIT JEE from 2014, here is the state wise cut-off for the same.

Please find below the category wise Cut-off Scores for IIT-JEE Advance entrance exam eligibility, this is as per the JEE mains results declared today.

  • Common Merit List (CML - General):113
  • Other Backward Class (OBC - NCL): 70
  • Scheduled Caste (SC): 50
  • Scheduled Tribe (ST): 45

JAB Resolution regarding the calculation of cut-off percentage for the top 20 percentile calculation for Andhra Pradesh and other status boards.

For AP and other states where the 1st year and 2nd year marks are used to calculate the aggregate, only class XII or Intermediate 2nd year marks will be considered for this year 2013 to avoid any disadvantage to students since at the time of taking the 11th class examinations they were not aware of this 20% clause due to this coming into effect later.

The way this criteria is determined is based on the top 20 percentile of the respective education boards, state boards. Going with this here is how the eligibility percentage looks like (for the current year data), this may change for every year.

CBSE Board Students - 77.8%
Kerala - 76.5%
Maharashtra - 73.4%
Karnataka - 67.5%
Jammu and Kashmir - 67%
Uttar Pradesh - 65%
Manipur - 64.6%
Madhya Pradesh - 64%
Rajasthan - 63.8%
West Bengal - 58%
Meghalaya - 49.4%

This list will be updated with more information from other states and other boards. As you see the IITJEE 2013 Cut-off is maximum for Andhra Pradesh in the entire country.
