APSET Syllabus and Scheme of Examination

As you all know the notification for  Andhra Pradesh State Eligibility Test - APSET 2013 is now available and the same can be found at the following official website of APSET: http://www.apset.org/index.htm, this post will give you some information related to the Scheme of Examination and the Syllabus for General paper and all the 27 subjects as approved by the UGC.

Kindly note that the CSIR/UGC-NET syllabus for this State Eligibility Test has been adopted as per the UGC guidelines.

Here is the scheme of examinations that will be followed for this years APSET:

First Session - Paper I -  General paper on Teaching and Aptitude:
There will be 60 questions out of which 50 are to be attempted, maximum marks will be 50x2=100
Time: 1.25 Hours (09.30 am to 10.45 am)

First Session - Paper II  Subject Paper
There will be 50 questions all of which are compulsory, maximum marks will be 50x2=100
Time: 1.25 Hours (10.45 am to 12.00 noon)

Second Session - Paper III -  Subject Paper (there will be in depth questions)
There will be 75 questions all of which are compulsory, maximum marks will be 75x2=150
Time: 2.5 Hours (01.30 pm to 04.00 pm)

Please note that there will be No negative Marking

Procedure and Criteria of selection / result for each category.
Step-I: Below are the Minimum marks that must be obtained by each student in APSET for considering a candidate for the eligibility for lectureship:

General: Paper-I: 40; Paper-II: 40; Paper-III: 75
BC: Paper-I: 35; Paper-II: 35; Paper-III: 68
SC/ST/PH/VH: Paper-I: 35; Paper-II: 35; Paper-III: 60

Step-II: Merit list based on subject wise and category wise

Step-III: Top 15% candidates (from each subject and category) from the above STEP will be eligible for lecturer post.
